There's so much to write down about my friend and brother Vincent. I really dont know where to start from .. Anyways, i've decided to write down a few thoughts and incidents thats i've shared with Vincent during the years.

Well, well 16 years back i met this small chap .. Pfftt!! i was also small then . Quite boy standing near the bus stop waiting for his bus. Never mixed with anyone, was shy to speak to me, cheeks turned pink when a girl approached him -P.s Im talkin of that time, not now- Anyways i walked up to him but now since the long gap i dont really know what i said ? But I and Vincent became good friends. He was a year junior to me . Went by the same bus, rick watever. When we were in the 9th and 10th we used to go by cycle. Oh boy!!! wat a time we had . At times we wouldnt reach school and for that I had to force my ass out and plead with Vincent "Boy lets not go to school, Lets bunk it'

We grew up as all do. Now we both were out of school, Vincent a year later as he was a year junior. We went to different colleges. But the colleges were like opposite each other. So we used to meet up during the recess and also after college. In the evenings we used to go ramble out ... We used to click pics and one of the pic Vincent recently had uploaded on Orkut. The one where he was sporting the next-to-bald-look. and he fooled most of you as to he had actally cut his hair ha ha. And yes, his mom never used to let him grow his hair more than 1 cm in length till 12th std. But then things changed. She became more lienent. I still remember, it was some years back, we were going to college and Vincent tells me to look behind.. I saw his small pony tail tied. The bugger said he was growing his hair and he could now tie a pony tail. I told him it was very small and it was like only 15-20 hair that he had tied in the rubberband. And he used to immediately pull down the rubberband ha ha. Remember the time when he used to wear a cap on his long grown hair and I used to pull it down. Always shouted at him when he wore that damn cap over. So whenever he used to come before me he always removed that damn cap of his.

Once, i remember we were out on our regular evening stroll and there was this female from China. Actually my chat friend and it was 14th February, Valentines day. I had no balance on my cell. Vincent had. At first i told him send a message and wish her. He was like cribbing to send. But then with much force he sent. After getting a reply from her the bugger was hooked on. He didnt mind his 5 bucks getting lesser from his balance nor did he bother that she was my chat friend haha . Anyways, he did realise later that evening that his balance was gone to the negative and the look on his face was like "WTF? Your friend and I fucking wasted my whole balance" haha Priceless moments i tell you..

I then suggested the bugger to get a computer for himself. It would be good. So he asked his dad, and his dad agreed. So we went to get a computer and a internet connection. The next day he called me to put some songs and videos into it. Mind you 13th std and he hadnt started listening to Metal :P . Anyways, I gave him my collection of Iron Maiden, Guns N roses and watever stuff I had. That was the first time he listened to something. -P.s i also had installed a trojan in his comp- So this trojan is a type where you could handle the other persons comp sitting at ur home by way of the internet. So one morning like I started the trojan and took control of his comp. I opened his CD Rom, played songs on his comp, Switched of his pc and behold the next thing that rang was my cellphone and it was Vincents call. He was like "Lovel, save me . My comp is fucking gone mad. Its doing weird things" ha ha ! Anyways, he came to know about it later and he busted my ass off. Hence he wrote that testimonial for me 'Trust everything but your comp. Lovel can hack it anytime" ha ha . Made his yahoo ID . Often when he used to be on yahoo and not reply me quick, i used to login using his id lol. and the very next minute a call from him saying "Bastard!! I was chatting with this chick and now shes gone! Im gonna get you for that!" ha ha

Anyways, after all that .. we both decided to join the gym . And we did ok. We used to leave our house at 4 in the afternoon. After the whole day of bunking college and running about I used to use the gym as a place to sleep and relax. But Vincey the bugger used to complain to the instructor. lol . He made me slog off my ass off in the gym. 4-5 hours a day in the gym was normal for us both. A day mustnt have passed by without us using ALL, I mean ALL the instruments in the gym.. Shoulders, Bisceps, Triceps, Arms, Legs we used to do all in a day. Hard worker and a talented guy he was, i tell you. Once I remember he was like lifting 30 kilos I think, and I was helping him. Suddenly i tickled him -mind you tickling him in his armpits was his weakness- . He went mad at me lol. And again complained to the sir. Damn :( . His dreams where to become a powerlifter. Yea you read that right, a powerlifter .. But then things changed completely..

Things went on, Days, Months, Years went by. We finished our junior college. Vincent joined a band, Prakalp and i started working. Its then that i lost contact with him, but we used to meet often on sundays or when we meet at some random place. That was it. no contact no meetings other than that. He used to be busy with his jamups a and I with my work. It was only the internet through which I and he had contact. We had a jolly good time chatting. haha. I remember the time, not long back. I came to know through some common friends of ours that Vincent went to model or something for some AD. When he had come online, my words to him were " Dude, i came to know that you have been modelling for PINK LINGERIE". haha. The words he used, the expression that must have been on his face was Priceless. He didnt speak to me for 3 long days. I tried to make up for it.. said sorry for about a 1000 times, on orkut sent him several messages, but he kept ignoring them :(. Atlast an idea struck me and i told Sushmita to help me out. She also sent him messages on orkut lol to talk to me and all, but all in vain.. Then we sorted the matter out and I told him I was sorry for the Pink Linergie thing. He went like "Do you get fun in teasing a rocker?" lol and my answer was "You are a talented rocker. Not all rockers model in PINK LINGERIE" haha .

Anyways, on 19-11-2007 i was roaming out and I happened to bump into Vincent. We walked, spoke a lot. He told me about his bands, his jamups, his friends, told me a lot. On the 20th he gave me a call. It happened to be a sunday and I was at home. He gave me a call and told me to meet up. I was with him in the evening along with his Bandmate Allistair and Ashwin. Noone really knew what we had in store the next day. Vincent was his normal self, joking and talking like he usually did.

The next day, I and Vincent had a long chat online. He played his bass for an hour in a conference. Joking and I irritating and harrasing like I normally did. I never knew what was in store in the evening. In the evening at around 7 Vincent got a bad ashmatic attack. We tried our best. Rushed him to the hospital, but then I think we failed. Vincent had already left us. -tears flow down from my eyes- I felt helpless seeing Vincent. He was lying on the stretcher and I was there standing helpless. A guy so full of life and energy, all of a sudden in that state? Its really hard to digest the fact that Vincent was no more. I couldnt do anything. It was like Wtf? We spoke in the afternoon ? And now ur on the stretcher ? and I'm standing beside you Helpless? In a position to do nothing expect seeing your friends and people around me crying for you? No more will I be seeing you ? A question came to my mind. I asked God 'there are so many older people, who are lifeless, useless you dont call them. But then why Vincent?" Somehow i didnt get the answer to this question yet ..

I dont think I can write any longer. So as i end this small writeup on you Vincent. I just hope that wereever you are, your happy. I just hope that your looking down on me and smiling, like I always made you to. Talented, dedicated, hardworking, punctual are some of the words that best describe you. And yes, If you get a damn fucking chance please do come down, I'm missing you a lot, your friends are missing you and above all your mom is missing you whom you left without even saying a last goodbye. Dude, she still thinks your gonna come down, she still cooks for you, she still thinks your at some jamup, she still thinks that her baba Vincent will be with her .. Please, Please think of her and come back if you can, Please?

Now playing Metallica- The God that Failed... As I end up this small writeup dedicated to my brother Vincent. Always keep smiling like you did and if given a chance please come back. In simple terms, it has earned unmatched respect because it works in battlefield conditions. The Barrett Model 82A1 rifle gained worldwide popularity after pioneering the return of shoulder fired big-bore rifles for shooting enthusiasts. As a result of its unique operating cycle, the M82A1 easily fires the largest commercially available cartridge in the world, the .50 caliber. Yet, the Barrett M82A1 develops the lowest recoil force of any comparable rifle. The M82A1 operates on the short-recoil principle. Founder Ronnie Barrett adapted this operating principle to a shoulder fired rifle. The recoiling barrel and bolt assembly acting against innovative spring and buffer assemblies replace the sharp recoil impact with a longer-acting lower recoil force. To further reduce the recoil load, the M82A1 is fitted with a dual chamber muzzle brake. The muzzle brake redirects high velocity gun gas to lower recoil by almost 70%. The net effect is a rifle with the felt recoil of a 12-gauge shotgun.

The Model 82A1 fits in a regular sized carry case. It is transported disassembled as an upper and lower receiver. The rifle is assembled and ready to fire in under a minute by inserting 2 assembly pins through both receivers. Since the scope remains mounted on the upper receiver, the scope zero is maintained. The Model 82A1/M107's M1913 optics rail is elevated 27 MOA to take full advantage of a scope's elevation travel. Emergency iron sights are provided as well.

With these time-proven methods and innovative designs, the Barrett M82A1 offers safety, rugged durability, and reliability to the big-bore enthusiast.

Specifications

- Caliber .50 BMG (12.7 X 99mm)

- Chamber Chambered for commercial and MATCH ammunition

- Operation Semi-Automatic

- Short Recoil Cycle

- Barrel Length 29 inches (73.67 cm)

- Rifling Twist 1 turn in 15 inches (38.1 cm)

- Rifle Weight 28.5 pounds (12.9kg)

- Overall Length 57 inches (144.78 cm)

- Disassembled Length 38 inches (96.52 cm)

Experience of a person high on LSD

This looks like fun... not that I get to do this anymore :(

LSD was the first thing I ever tried aside from alcohol. I hadn't smoked any
pot, or for that matter, any tobacco before this...

My first time was about a week after I broke up with my girlfriend. We broke
up, actually, after an argument over drugs, but that's a long and dull story.

I'm gonna tell the story the long and (hopefully) interesting way... if you get bored, that's what the N key is for...

A friend and I had only one tab between us. It was tiny, and actually kinda
inoccuous looking. "There a certain part of this that has the good stuff on
it?"

My friend turned it over. There was a brown spot on the other side, and
something about the brown spot just screamed out DRUGS!!!! "This brown spot
is where the magic is." He'd tripped once, the week before, and compared
to me this was the voice of experience. He cut it in half, taking great pains
to make sure that we each got the same amount of that brown cherry on top of
the paper. (btw, I now know that it didn't matter).

"What do you do with this?" I said "Do you lick it?"

"Swallow. And wait about an hour."

An hour later, absolutely nothing interesting had happened. We concluded that
we'd been ripped off, so we walked to the grocery store.

When we got to the grocery store, I noticed that I could see everything in
my visual field without rolling my eyes. I could read the print on a box of
cereal out of the corner of my eye without turning to look at it. Somebody
I knew slightly waved at me from the other end of the aisle, and something
about it seemed so mellow and dreamlike. I thought of the fireman waving at
the beginning of Blue Velvet, it was sorta like that. All we bought was a
box of Rice Krispie Treats cereal.

We visited some friends and ate the cereal. It was like a feast, y'know?
We turned off the lights and listened to the Grateful Dead tribute album,
which was new that year. The light shining in from the window kept fading,
and in the growing darkness one of my non-tripping friends said, "You know,
you guys are having a really cool Saturday night and we're having a shitty
Saturday night. And the Hell of it is we're all doing the same thing..." I
thought that was profoundly funny. My other non-tripping friend said, "You
know you're tripping when you can't get it up." I learned later on that
this is also not necessarily true, but I was never able to get it up on acid
after that. I've fallen in love, and I've seen some of the most erotic
imagery, but no matter what I never could get hard while baked.

That's pretty much it... I felt really, umm, close, I guess to other points in
my life a lot of the time. At one point I felt like I'd been in junior high
only yesterday and I'd be a ninety-something too frail to fart tomorrow.
And I spent a lot of time looking in the mirror. My face changed into the
forms of all the other bearded men I know of, like Abraham Lincoln, Jesus, and
Jim Morrison.

I fell asleep on the couch at some point. I woke up the next morning feeling
great, but I realized after breakfast in the dorm that I'd forgotten to zip my
fly.

Cigarette Smoking .. After completing his schooling in Amritsar and Sherwood College (Nainital), he joined the first batch of 40 cadets at Indian military academy, Dehra Dun on 1 October 1932. He passed out of the IMA in December 1934 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Indian Army. He held several regimental assignments and was first attached to the Royal Scots and later to the 4/12 Frontier Force Regiment.

Military Career
During World War II, he saw action in the Burma campaign on Sittang River and has the rare distinction of being honoured for his bravery on the battle front itself. During World War II, he was leading a counter-offensive against the invading Japanese Army in Burma. As he charged forward with his men, a Japanese soldier suddenly emerged from the bushes and fired at him, wounding him seriously in the stomach.

Fortunately, Major General D.T. Cowan spotted Manekshaw holding on to life and was aware of his valour in face of stiff resistance from the Japanese. Fearing the worst, Major General Cowan quickly pinned his own Military Cross ribbon on to Manekshaw saying, "A dead person cannot be awarded a Military Cross."

Having recovered from those near-fatal wounds in Burma, Manekshaw went for a course at Staff College, Quetta and later also served there as an instructor before being sent to join 12 Frontier Force Rifles in Burma under General (later Field Marshal) Slim's 14th Army. He was once again involved in a fierce battle with the Japanese, and was wounded for a second time.

Towards the close of World War II, Manekshaw was sent as Staff Officer to General Daisy in Indo-China where, after the Japanese surrender, he helped rehabilitate over 10,000 POWs.

India' Independence and Partition
Manekshaw showed acumen for planning and administration while handling the issues related to partition in 1947, and later put to use his battle skills during the 1947-48 Jammu & Kashmir Operations. After command of an Infantry Brigade he was posted as the Commandant of the Infantry School and also became the Colonel of 8 Gorkha Rifles (his regimental home) and 61 Cavalry.
He commanded a Division in Jammu & Kashmir and a Corps in the North East, with a tenure as Commandant of Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in between. As GOC-in-C Eastern Command, he handled the tricky problem of insurgency in Nagaland and the grateful nation honoured him with a Padma Bhushan - India's third highest civilian honour - in 1968.

Indo-China Conflict

When India suffered a humiliating defeat at China's hands. Jawaharlal Nehru rushed Manekshaw to Nefa to command the retreating Indian forces. This had an electrifying effect on the demoralised forces.

His first order order of the day characteristically said "There will be no withdrawl without written orders and these orders shall never be issued"

The 1971 Indo-Pak War
Manekshaw is the architect of India's Victory in 1971 Indo-Pak War

Manekshaw succeeded General Kumaramangalam as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on 07 June 1969. His years of military experience were soon put to the test as thousands of refugees from the erstwhile East Pakistan started crossing over to India as a result of oppression unleashed from West Pakistan. The volatile situation got worse and soon erupted into a full-scale war in December 1971.
During the military campaign, Manekshaw showed uncommon ability to motivate the forces, coupling it with a mature war strategy.

General Manekshaw is greeted by the defeated East-Pakistani Commander, General Tikka Khan

When Prime Minister Indira Gandhi wanted to rush into a conflict in April 1971 following the refugee crisis, it was Manekshaw who pointed out that moving formations to face 90,000 pakistan troops would take atleat two months.Plus ground conditions-it was monsoon time in East Pakistan - would render roads and transport facilities inoperable. He offered to put his resignation rather head an unprepared army....He got what he wanted and the rest is history.....

The war ended with Pakistan's unconditional surrender, and the formation of Bangladesh. For his selfless service to the nation, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1972 and was conferred with the honorary rank of Field Marshal on 01 January 1973.

The grand victory were achieved within a short span of 14 days with 93,000 enemy soldiers made to surrender.

He retired a fortnight later, on 15 January 1973, after completing nearly four decades of military service(although technically Field Marshals of the Indian Army never retire because the rank is conferred for life).

Lieutenant General Depinder Singh (retd), who served as military assistant to Manekshaw when he served as Chief of the Army Staff, has published a riveting memoir of this most unusual man.

Here is an extract from Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Soldiering with Dignity.

The outbreak of the Second World War saw the 4/12 Frontier Force Regiment in action in Burma with the famed 17 Infantry Division. Sam was separated from his family for over three years and this separation was the cause of a celebrated example he was later to give while answering questions put to him in his capacity as Chief of the Army Staff by the Pay Commission. The question, which triggered off the reply was, why should the army continue to get separation allowance? This, to clarify, is a token sum every officer and enlisted man gets when his unit moves to a non-family station thus necessitating separation. I say 'token' because the name is a misnomer; whereas it is meant to cover the expenditure incurred in running two establishments, the amount paid is, in fact, a pittance. For example, an officer used to get just seventy rupees a month and the men an even smaller amount. The answer to explain the need was "After my marriage, I went off to war and didn't see my wife for three long years, and when I returned I found I had a brand-new daughter, and the only reason I am sure the child is mine is because she looks just like me." Needless to say, the Pay Commission broke up in laughter, but went away convinced. The separation allowance continues.

Sam Manekshaw today...
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5099322389852912274" style="FLOAT: left; While the Telecaster and its variants were successful, many guitar players of the day used a Bigsby unit, a spring-loaded vibrato device with which players could bend notes up and down with their pick hand.

Instead of adding a Bigsby, Fender decided to produce a new, more expensively-made ash or alder line of guitars with his own design of Tremolo. His decision was also influenced by guitarists Rex Gallion and Bill Carson, who requested a contoured body to temper the harsh edges of the slab-built Telecaster; the new ash body design was based on that of the 1951 Precision Bass.

Design......
In designing the Stratocaster's body, a significant area of the back of the guitar, and the area where the strumming arm rests, was beveled to accommodate the player's chest and arm. The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets. The new 'Custom Contour Body' and 'Synchronized Tremolo' bridge made the Stratocaster a revolutionary design.

The guitar also featured more complex electronics than the Telecaster: three single coil pickups, each with staggered magnetic poles; a three-way selector switch (five-way since 1977); one volume knob, and two tone controls. A three single-coil pickup design was an innovation already in use by Gibson in their ES-5 model since 1949. However, Fender's pickups were much more compact.

Popularity.........
Much of the popularity of the Stratocaster can be attributed to its versatility. The neck, middle, and bridge (termed "rhythm", "normal tone" and "lead", respectively) pickups provide a wide range of tones. The standard single-coil pickups often found in Stratocasters produce a trebly sound with a high top end and bell-like harmonics.

The Fender synchronized tremolo tremolo arm mechanism, introduced with the Stratocaster, has become the most copied design of all, eclipsing all other designs including the later floating bridge designs by Leo Fender himself.

The Stratocaster has been widely copied; as a result "Stratocaster" or "Strat" is often used when referring to any guitar that has the same general features as the original, regardless of manufacturer.

Who plays a Fender..??

Bill Carson ..A country and western guitarist credited by Fender as "the man for whom the Stratocaster was designed".. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5098589013258929234" style="FLOAT: right; Classical theism asserts that God possesses every possible perfection, including such qualities as omniscience, omnipotence, and perfect benevolence. Of course this definition is not the only possible definition of "God". Other philosophical approaches take a logically simple definition of God such as "the Prime Mover" or "the Uncaused Cause", or "the Ultimate Creator" or "a being greater than which nothing can be conceived" from which the classical properties may be deduced.By contrast Pantheists do not believe in a personal God....

The 18th-century French author Baron d'Holbach
was one of the first self-described atheists.

In the Advaita Vedanta school of Hinduism, reality is ultimately seen as being a single, qualityless, changeless being called nirguna Brahman. However, nirguna Brahman is understood to be beyond "ordinary" human comprehension. What we ordinarily perceive - that is, a world of many things - is brought on by consequences of our actions. Thus, Advaitin philosophy introduces the concept of saguna Brahman or Ishvara as a way of talking about Brahman to people. Ishvara, in turn, is ascribed such qualities as omniscience, omnipotence, and benevolence.

Polytheistic religions use the word "god" for multiple beings with varying degrees of power and abilities. Some stories such as those of Homer and Ovid portray gods arguing with, tricking and fighting with one another.

The problem of the supernatural~
One problem posed by the question of the existence of a God is that traditional beliefs usually ascribe to God various supernatural powers. Supernatural beings may be able to conceal and reveal themselves for their own purposes, as for example in the tale of Baucis and Philemon. In addition, according to most concepts of God, God is not part of the natural order, but the ultimate creator of nature and of the scientific laws.

Religious apologists offer the supernatural nature of God as one explanation of the inability of empirical methods to decide the question of God's existence. In Karl Popper's philosophy of science, the assertion of the existence of a supernatural God would be a non-falsifiable hypothesis, not in the domain of scientific investigation. The Non-overlapping Magisteria view proposed by Stephen Jay Gould also holds that the existence (or otherwise) of God is beyond the domain of Science.

Proponents of intelligent design (I.D.) believe there is empirical evidence for Irreducible complexity pointing to the existence of an intelligent creator, though their claims are challenged by most in the scientific community. Even some scientifically literate theists appear to have been impressed by the observation that certain natural laws and universal constants seem "fine-tuned" to favor the development of life. However, reliance on phenomena which have not yet been resolved by natural explanations may be equated to the pejorative God of the gaps.

Logical positivists, such as Rudolph Carnap and A. J. Ayer viewed any talk of gods as literally nonsense. For the logical positivists and adherents of similar schools of thought, statements about religious or other transcendent experiences could not have a truth value, and were deemed to be without meaning.

Strong atheism~
Strong atheism is the position that a god or gods do not exist. The strong atheist explicitly asserts god's non-existence. Some strong atheists further assert that the existence of some or all gods is logically impossible, for example claiming that the combination of attributes which God may be asserted to have (For example: omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, transcendence, omnibenevolence) is logically contradictory, incomprehensible, or absurd, and therefore that the non-existence of such a God is a priori true. It needs to be noted that believing the qualities of a particular God to be contradictory is not the sole basis of strong atheist; many strong atheists would assert that, owing to the lack of evidence, even a God described in a manner that was not contradictory is still unlikely to exist. It should also be noted that many religions credit human achievements to God, many strong atheists consider this to be outrageous, and that human achievements are the result of millions of years of inspiration and innovation.

Weak atheism~
The term weak atheism is used of those who do not believe that a god or gods exists. Its origins can be traced to Ancient Greece.
It is realized by extending the index and little fingers while holding the middle and ring fingers down with the thumb.

Actual (Ancient!!) Meaning
In contemporary Italy, if the "horns," i.e., the stretched fingers, are surreptitiously placed behind someone's head, or explicitly pointed at a person (in Italian, fare le corna, to make the horns), the conveyed meaning is that this person is being cheated on by his wife or (more rarely) her husband. Hence the Italian cornuto, that translates literally to having horns, but figuratively means cuckold. The gesture is also common in Spain (known as los cuernos), Portugal and Brazil (cornos), Albania (briret), Slovakia and Czech Republic (known as paroháč), and Greece (κέρατα) and has the same meaning.

Now..contemporary name
It is known by a variety of terms in heavy metal music: devil sign, devil horns, goat horns, metal horns, metal sign, throwing the goat, evil fingers, Pommesgabel (German for french fry fork), mano cornuta, peka evil, the horns, also "Rock Fist" or Rock on "Visel" in some U.S. rock music subcultures.

Origin in Rock & Heavy Metal Culture..
Gene Simmons claimed to have first introduced the sign to heavy metal, when he was shown extending his little finger on the cover of KISS' 1977 album Love Gun, although his claim is disputed. On the other hand, Gene Simmons has, even before the Love Gun LP, showed this sign on stage or during photo sessions (for example Japan, April 1977). The common cited examples however show Simmons making the gesture with the thumb extended, which is rather a different gesture which means "I Love You" and had been used well before this. Gene claims he was inspired by 60's Marvel comics, especially Dr Strange and also Spider-Man who would extend his index and little finger whilst using his middle fingers to trigger his web shooters to shoot a line of webbing.

In heavy metal music, Ronnie James Dio also used this sign, and is known for popularizing its usage in heavy metal. His Italian grandmother used it to ward off the evil eye (malocchio). Dio began using the sign soon after joining (1979) the metal band Black Sabbath.

Now about us fans!!!!
Fans from world over use the sign during concerts….also… fans often use the hand gesture in electronic conversations, for group identification. It's usual to express it with the letters "l", "m" and "l" put together. \m/

so in the end i say rock on!!! \m/......................

Who works

this is the third job, but i dont understand why people work or dont.

the rhetoric is mags is usually high! Anslinger is the man who spearheaded the campaign to make marijuana illegal in U.S.A. and the rest of the world. He held office as the Assistant Prohibition Commissioner in the Bureau of Prohibition, before being appointed as the first Commissioner of the Treasury Department's Federal Bureau of Narcotics (FBN) on August 12, 1930.

HOW HE DID IT…
By using the mass media as his forum (receiving much support from William Randolph Hearst), Anslinger propelled the anti-marijuana sentiment from the state level to a national movement. Writing for American Magazine, the best examples were contained in his "Gore File", a collection of police-blotter-type narratives of heinous cases, most with flimsy substantiation , linking graphically depicted offenses with the drug:
"An entire family was murdered by a youthful addict in Florida. When officers arrived at the home, they found the youth staggering about in a human slaughterhouse. With an axe he had killed his father, mother, two brothers, and a sister. He seemed to be in a daze… He had no recollection of having committed the multiple crime. The officers knew him ordinarily as a sane, rather quiet young man; now he was pitifully crazed. They sought the reason. The boy said that he had been in the habit of smoking something which youthful friends called “muggles,” a childish name for marijuana."
Most commonly this campaign also focused intensely on popular racist themes of the time:
"Colored students at the Univ. of Minn. partying with female students (white), smoking [marijuana] and getting their sympathy with stories of racial persecution. Result pregnancy"
"Two Negros took a girl fourteen years old and kept her for two days under the influence of marijuana. Upon recovery she was found to be suffering from syphilis."

Anslinger based his campaign not on scientific facts …rather on racist and ethnic prejudices….

BUT GOD HAS HIS OWN WAY…..
It is ironic that despite his aggressive stance against addictive painkilling drugs, Harry J. Anslinger himself was taking morphine to alleviate his pain in his final days.

SOME FACTS MOST PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW………..
Medical marijuana is a growing treatment for medical use. The American Marijuana Policy Project states that cannabis is an ideal therapeutic drug for cancer and AIDS patients, who often suffer from clinical depression, and from nausea and resulting weight loss due to chemotherapy and other aggressive treatments. It is claimed that cannabis makes these other treatments more tolerable. Both scientists and doctors agree that controlled doses of marijuana can help with Chemotherapy and Nausea Treatment, Appetite Stimulation, Glaucoma, Analgesia, and Movement Disorders.

Cannabis has also been proven to treat anorexia according to a report published by the BBC in 2003. Medical marijuana will help with the lack of appetite due to AIDS or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (the failure of the immune system to protect the body adequately from infection, due to the absence or insufficiency of some component process or substance.).
Glaucoma, a condition of increased pressure within the eyeball causing gradual loss of sight, can be treated with medical marijuana to decrease this intraocular pressure.Medical marijuana is used for analgesia, or pain relief. Studies have found that cannabis can relieve tics in patients suffering from OCD and/or Tourette syndrome. Patients treated with marijuana reported a significant decrease in both motor and vocal tics, some of 50% or more. Some decrease in obsessive-compulsive behavior was also found.A recent study has also concluded that cannabinoids found in cannabis might have the ability to prevent Alzheimer's disease. THC has been shown to reduce arterial blockages.

A recent epidemiological study funded by the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH) concluded that, "the association of these [lung and upper aerodigestive tract] cancers with marijuana, even long-term or heavy use, is not strong and may be below practically detectable limits."

MY POINT IS………………….
God made grass..man made booze…whom would you trust..????????

Kurt Cobain - If at all there was a GOD, This is wat he was!

Kurt Donald Cobain (February 20 1967 - April 5th 1994) was the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of GRUNGE band Nirvana. Cobain was born in Aberdeen, Washington and grew up with a troubled childhood, which he frequently addressed in his songs and interviews. Known for his abrasive and often disturbing songwriting as well as his distinctive vocal style, Cobain is often cited among the most influential musicians of his time.

Cobain formed Nirvana in 1986. Some of the popular tracks of Nirvana include "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Lithium Come as You Are, Heart Shaped Box!

During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with drug addiction and the media pressures surrounding him and his wife Courtney Love. On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead in his home in Seattle. His death was ruled a suicide by self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. Since then, the circumstances surrounding his death have fueled much analysis and debate.
Kurt was gifted his first guitar bu his uncle at the age of 14! And he has been playin ever since that age! At his age i wasn't into music! He he! Cobain started by learning a few covers, including AC/DC's "Back in Black" and The Cars' "My Best Friend's Girl" .Soon after he began writing his own.

The Marriage!~
Courtney Love first saw Cobain perform in 1989 at a show in Portland.. and after a few meetings Love started to develop a crush on him! The couple finally got married on February 24th 1992, on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. Various arguments took place and many disputes saw their way during the marriage of the two..

Death..

Kurt's death remains a mystery unsolved even today. He was found dead in the "spare room" just above his garage at his home in Washington. Apart from some little blood that was oozing out from his ear, no other evidence was found. No His face seemed to show no visible signs of trauma! His employee Smith discovered a note with a pen stuck to it under an overturned pot nearby, which cud have possibly been his suicide note.
An autopsy report later concluded Cobain's death was a result of a "self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head." The report estimates Cobain to have died on 5th April 1994.

On the 10th of April 1994 a public vigil was held in Kurts honor at a park in Seatle Centre! Love read few of the things mentioned in the suicide note that was written by Kurt, crying bitterly herself.. At the end of the vigil Love distributed Kurt's clothing to the people who had gathered for the vigil, and Kurt's body was cremated...

Neil Young a Canadian songwriter and guitarist was much inspired from Cobain's lyric use. His song "Sleeps with Angels" is in Cobain's memory! The pic that we see of small Kurt was distributed to all the people who attended the memorial service..~

Quotes by Cobain..~

"It's better to burn out than to fade away."

From Neil Young's My My, Hey Hey, quoted by Cobain in his 1994 suicide note

"Wanting to be somebody else is a waste of the person you are." (True source unknown)

"If I went to jail, at least I wouldn't have to sign autographs." (1991)

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." (1993)

" I have absolutely no right to express my opinions until I know all of the answers"

"If I could get that girl to publish her poetry, the world would change." (On Courtney Love) (1993)

"All drugs are a waste of time. They destroy your memory and your self-respect and everything that goes along with your self-esteem. They’re no good at all. But I’m not going to go around preaching against [them]." (1992)

On What the World said about Kurt!~
I never knew [Cobain] to be suicidal. I just knew he was going through a tough time. -Mark Lanegan

He had an amazing ear for melody. -Noran Jones

He had a touch most guitarists would kill for. -Chuck Berry

Kurt chewed bubblegum in his soul. -Courtney Love

Kurt Cobain was one of the best of our time. -Madonna

That kid had heart. -Bob Dylan

He really, really inspired me. He was so great. Wonderful. One of the best, but more than that. Kurt was one of the absolute best of all time for me. -Neil Young

He had life figured out really young. He knew life wasn’t always fair. -Wendy O'Connor (mother)

Songs dedicated to Kurt..

It's a shame about your future
It's a crime about your past. ....The Fall (Kurt's Blues) by Cher!

Help me please
Burn the sorrow from your eyes
Oh come on, be alive again
Don't lay down and die. .....Malibu by Hole

They all stand straight and swing to the side
No heads, but they feet still glide
Take a step back, twist and dive
I even seen Kurt Cobain get live. .....Headless Boogie by Insane Clown Posse

Too late,
He sleeps with angels
Too soon,
He's always on someone's mind. ...Sleeps with Angels by Neil Young!

.....and many many more! Nyways, what i wanted to mention here was that Kurt though dead many years back, still lives in our hearts. He still got people following him, people going crazy over his songs and his band Nirvana! If u seen any of his concerts, specially Unplugged in Newyork, u can see Kurt Cobain standing there, singing! The man got no expressions on his face! But still his legacy lives!!

Long live Kurt Cobain! \m/ You still live in our hearts! May his soul RIP!

Heloo

Ok!
